SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (March 29, 2023) – The Emergency Nurses Association is now accepting applications for its third 20 Under 40 class. Up-and-comers in the emergency nursing field can now apply and the honorees will be recognized in the ENA’s member magazine, ENA Connection.

The awards program casts the spotlight on emergency nursing professionals who are making extraordinary contributions to their workplaces, their communities and the emergency nursing specialty. Last year’s class included researchers, flight nurses, nurse educators, emergency department leaders and more.

“The 20 Under 40 program is a fantastic way for ENA to recognize its young nurses who are the future of our specialty,” said ENA President Terry Foster, MSN, RN, CEN, CPEN, CCRN, TCRN, FAEN. “I’m excited to see what this group of applicants brings to the table and see how their efforts will help progress emergency nursing.”

Those selected by a panel of reviewers - comprised of ENA members and staff - will be featured in a special issue of ENA Connection in October. Each honoree will also be recognized at Emergency Nursing 2023 in San Diego and highlighted on ENA social media following the release of the issue.

For those interested in applying or nominating a peer, applications will be accepted until April 28. Learn more here.
