The American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC) is the entity responsible for establishing standards for continuing nursing education (CNE) for the nursing profession. The Emergency Nurse Association is accredited as an approver of nursing continuing professional development activities by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
The ENA Approver Unit reviews and approves continuing nursing education activities. Through a peer review process, ENA evaluates the quality and appropriateness of education activities that are of benefit to emergency nurses.
ANCC criteria require that providers plan, implement and evaluate quality continuing nursing education activities with integrity, free from the undue influence of commercial interest organizations, ensuring integrity and independence.
The Emergency Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Please note that application fees are based on the total number of contact hours approved and organizational status as an ENA Chapter or State Council.
