Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott International’s Loyalty Program, to Offer ENA Members Free Hotel Rooms

April 8, 2020 COVID-19

Accommodations available starting today in areas hit hardest by COVID-19

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (April 8, 2020) – As part of its Rooms for Responders program launched Wednesday, Marriott Bonvoy – with support from its credit card partners American Express and JPMorgan Chase – has committed to provide $10 million worth of hotel stays at no cost to Emergency Nurses Association members working on the front lines in some of the nation’s hardest hit COVID-19 hotspots.

The initiative, which also includes members of the American College of Emergency Physicians, offers free hotel room nights to nurses and physicians in several targets cities currently in the greatest need, including New York City, Newark, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Detroit and New Orleans. ENA and ACEP will oversee the matching of their respective members in those cities with accommodations at participating hotels.

ENA members can learn more about Rooms for Responders and book reservations by visiting the ena.org/marriott.

Marriott said it is clear that there is a need to assist and bolster health care workers and community care givers who are on the front lines working to contain this disease. Marriott's goal is simple - to support the heroes who are selflessly supporting us.

ENA President Mike Hastings, MSN, RN, CEN, offered his thanks to Marriott and its partners for their generosity during this critical time.

“In some of the areas hardest hit by COVID-19, ED nurses and other front-line health care providers face daily challenges not only while caring for patients, but in doing what they can to keep their friends and families safe,” Hastings said. “The Rooms for Responders program helps allay some of the personal hardships they’ve encountered by providing a much-needed place to rest without concern of potentially bringing the virus home.”
