Hilton pledges 1 million room nights to members of 11 health care associations

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (April 13, 2020) – Hilton and American Express on Monday launched a new program that will donate 1 million room nights across the country to provide members of 11 health care associations, including the Emergency Nurses Association, a safe and welcoming place to stay during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Beginning today, ENA members have access to hotel rooms at no cost by visiting ena.org/Hilton. There, ENA members can learn more about the initiative and book stays in up to seven-day increments. The program is currently set to run through May 31, but to ensure availability, individual reservations can be made up to four weeks in advance from the time of booking.

“ENA and its members are grateful for the outpouring of support shown to emergency nurses during COVID-19 pandemic. Hilton’s program is another example of tremendous generosity at a time when front-line health care providers need it most,” said ENA President Mike Hastings, MSN, RN, CEN. “Having a place to stay and re-energize without fear for the safety of family and other loved ones provides invaluable peace of mind amid the stress of this public health crisis.”

Hilton partnered with ENA and 10 other associations that collectively represent more than 1 million health care workers in order to support individuals who would otherwise have to spend their own money on accommodations.

“During this crisis, we have seen so many examples of medical professionals working in the most challenging circumstances, sacrificing their own needs for the greater good. They truly are heroes,” said Hilton President and CEO Christopher J. Nassetta. “We are honored to extend our Hilton hospitality to them during this difficult time.”
