Deadlines and Policies

July 31, 2019: EN19 Deposit Plan Payment Deadline

ENA members registered through the $100 USD deposit plan, MUST pay their remaining registration balance on or before July 31, 2019, to receive the early-bird rate.  After this date, EN19 advanced registration rate of $750 USD will apply, and your deposit of $100 USD is non-refundable.

August 31, 2019: EN19 Cancellation Deadline

For EN19 cancellation requests submitted on or before August 31, 2019, a $100 USD cancellation fee will be applied or incurred.  Additional add-ons, events and sessions are non-refundable at any time per the Non-Refundable Policy below. No refunds will be issued for any reason for EN19 cancellation requests received after August 31, 2019, as specified in your registration confirmation.

Emergency Nursing 2019 Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received in writing via email or mail to ENA-EN19 Registration Management on or before August 31, 2019. Refunds will be processed in the name of the original payer within four to six weeks after the written request is received. Canceling your annual meeting registration will not automatically cancel your hotel reservations, please be sure to cancel any hotel and travel plans.

Emergency Nursing 2019 Non-Refundable Policy

All ENA membership dues, donations to ENA foundation, additional EN19 registration add-on items including t-shirt orders, special events and/or educational sessions with a fee are non-refundable at any time. EN19 Annual Meeting no-shows are ineligible for a refund. These policies apply to all registration types including Guest Registrations. Non-receipt of a confirmation notice before the meeting is not justification for seeking a refund. ENA reserves the right to cancel this meeting. In this event, we will notify all registrants and refund registrations accordingly. Any costs incurred by the EN19 Annual Meeting registrant, such as hotel cancellation, airline penalties, etc. are the responsibility of the meeting registrant.

Photography, Audio/Video Recording Policy

On occasion, an ENA photographer may take photos and/or videos of participants in conference functions or activities. Please be aware that these photos and videos are for ENA use only and may appear in future conference programs, catalogs, brochures, social media, ENA Connection, Journal of Emergency Nursing, ena.org, or other promotional materials. Your attendance constitutes your permission and consent for this photography. Please note that photography and audio/video recording by attendees are not allowed inside the opening and closing sessions. Photography and audio/video recording by attendees cannot be used for commercial purposes.

AdvancED

Collaborate with colleagues in this fully-equipped, four-bed mock emergency department using high-fidelity simulated-manikins. Attendees will participate in clinical simulations designed to mimic a real ED setting featuring pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Cadaver Labs

A hands-on, procedural lab — instructors, surgical supplies, and medical equipment have been provided for attendees. Preregistration required; limited capacity; additional fee of $100. Check the schedule-at-a-glance for presentation times.

DisastER

This interactive area features military SMRT tents, a medical helicopter, and exercises that prepare nurses for emergencies outside of the ED. Hands-on activities include techniques in S.T.A.R.T. Triage, self-aid, buddy-aid, tourniquet application, and lessons on emergency preparedness for catastrophes in the field.

ENA Learning Labs

Two stand-alone dedicated spaces featuring experienced educators presenting innovative clinical education and best practices to improve patient care. Topics include IV infiltration, intubation, OB in the ED and more!

Stop in this area for education in varying formats—from fun discussions and EN debate wars to short, powerful talks on new and innovative products and services—enhance your ED combined with informative hot topics presented by your peers.

SIM Wars Competition

Four-person teams compete in simulated scenarios using live patients (or high-fidelity simulated-manikins). This fun and exciting educational event encourages nurses to work together using on-the-spot critical action to achieve the best possible patient outcome. Sixteen teams will compete across two stages in front of an audience of their peers, the winning team will receive the much-coveted SIM Wars trophy! Cheer on your champions in the Exhibit Hall.

The competition begins on Monday, Sept. 30 at 10:45 a.m. and runs in 30-minute sessions. Finalists will compete beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1. 

Skills Lab

Three stations; three themes. Move through this multi-layered skills training with your designated group for hands-on education covering Trauma Resuscitation, Neonatal and Pediatric Resuscitation and Critical Care for Emergency RNs. Preregistration is required and there is an additional $10 fee to participate. P.S. Don’t forget your group number!

Myths and Misconceptions in the Management of Pit Viper Bites: This course will cover the epidemiology and clinical features of North American snake (or crotalid) envenomations. The speaker will discuss the approach to diagnosing and treating the snakebite victim and review the indications for CroFab and how it should be administered. Learners will discuss many of the myths and misconceptions surrounding snakebite management, including the role of antibiotics and surgical intervention. (this lunch is intended for APRNs attending pre-conference sessions)

Don’t Delay — Urgent Treatment of Early-Onset Severe Toxicity or Overdose of 5-FU and Capecitabine: This course will outline the causes of 5-FU and capecitabine overdoses and early-onset severe toxicity; help learners recognize “red flags” of 5-FU and capecitabine early-onset severe toxicity and overdose, explore cases of cardiotoxicity and other forms of early-onset severe toxicity and more. Refunds will be processed in the name of the original payer within four to six weeks after the written request is received. Canceling your annual meeting registration will not automatically cancel your hotel reservations, please be sure to cancel any hotel and travel plans.

Emergency Nursing 2019 Non-Refundable Policy

All ENA membership dues, donations to ENA foundation, additional EN19 registration add-on items including t-shirt orders, special events and/or educational sessions with a fee are non-refundable at any time. EN19 Annual Meeting no-shows are ineligible for a refund. These policies apply to all registration types including Guest Registrations. Non-receipt of a confirmation notice before the meeting is not justification for seeking a refund. ENA reserves the right to cancel this meeting. In this event, we will notify all registrants and refund registrations accordingly. Any costs incurred by the EN19 Annual Meeting registrant, such as hotel cancellation, airline penalties, etc. are the responsibility of the meeting registrant.

Photography, Audio/Video Recording Policy

On occasion, an ENA photographer may take photos and/or videos of participants in conference functions or activities. Please be aware that these photos and videos are for ENA use only and may appear in future conference programs, catalogs, brochures, social media, ENA Connection, Journal of Emergency Nursing, ena.org, or other promotional materials. Your attendance constitutes your permission and consent for this photography. Please note that photography and audio/video recording by attendees are not allowed inside the opening and closing sessions. Photography and audio/video recording by attendees cannot be used for commercial purposes.

CERPs

Please note: ENA’s CERPs are not affiliated with, or accredited by, any other nursing organization. ENA CERPs designation signifies that the session has been granted recognition of content that offers relevant information of value to emergency nursing. BCEN accepts CERPs for recertification if the content is a minimum of 60 minutes. Accrual of CERP content from multiple conference presentations to 60 minutes or greater is allowed by BCEN.  For example, attendance at two different 30-minute sessions could accrue to the minimum required 60 minutes. Please check the BCEN web site http://www.bcencertifications.org for current CERP acceptance information. ENA does not guarantee that other organizations, institutions, certification bodies, accreditation agencies, or state boards of nursing will accept CERPs from ENA CERPs designated sessions.
