Know about 2019-Novel Coronavirus’
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (Feb. 12, 2020) – As the 2019-Novel Coronavirus continues to make headlines around the world, the Emergency Nurses Association, American College of Emergency Physicians and Association of American Medical Colleges have collaborated with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Ebola Training and Education Center to host an informational webinar on Feb. 18 to review the current state of this emerging infectious disease.
“What health care providers need to know about 2019-Novel Coronavirus” will feature Sharon Vanairsdale and Bruce Ribner from NETEC as they review how to identify and isolate – and notify the proper officials – if a patient with symptoms and epidemiological risk presents at points of entry to health care staff.
The webinar takes place at 2 p.m. Eastern time on Feb. 18. Registration for the webinar is now open and can be accessed here.
ENA President Mike Hastings, MSN, RN, CEN, encouraged emergency nurses, and everyone on the front lines of health care, to continue their vigilance relating to coronavirus, which includes staying informed about clinical guidelines and best practices.
