She was a contributing author to the Emergency Nursing Core Curriculum, 8th Edition and served on the Journal of Emergency Nursing Editorial Board. In 2023, Harris was inducted into the Academy of Emergency Nurses.
Harris has authored her own leadership book series and has mentored many nurses. She is president and CEO of Eminent Healthcare Resources Consultants, Inc., which leads in-person and online learning for nurses around the world, helping them advance and maintain their skills in both practice and leadership. She holds a doctorate from Post University with a focus on executive leadership. A military veteran, her work includes learning opportunities for those in the U.S. Armed Forces, as well as in many underserved health care areas.
“I’m extremely proud to join this global community of nurses committed to making an impact,” Harris said. “This is more than a title. It’s a recognition of my professional purpose, which I take seriously: to educate and empower other nurses with the education they need to develop their practice and their own leadership skills.”
