ENPC TNCC How to Host Coursesweb

To make the Trauma Nursing Core Course more accessible to your nurses, consider hosting your own courses. You will need:

  • One to two instructors to help teach provider courses.
  • At least one course director to host and teach provider courses.
  • At least one faculty to host and teach instructor courses.

Step 1: Become a TNCC Provider

A TNCC provider is a non-RN or an RN who has successfully completed the TNCC Provider Course. Providers who score more than 90 percent on their skill station test and their online exam can complete the instructor course.

Achieves:

  • Four-year provider status.
  • Completion certificate with contact hours for all students.

Step 2: Become a TNCC Instructor

A TNCC instructor can help teach current edition provider courses under the supervision of a course director. To become an instructor, providers must be an RN, must complete a current edition instructor course and be successfully monitored (evaluated) while helping to teach a provider course.

Achieves:

  • Two-year instructor status.
  • Can teach provider courses and under the supervision of a course director.

Step 3: Become a TNCC Director

A TNCC course director can hold and teach their own TNCC courses. To become a course director, instructors must be an ENA member, teach at least two current edition provider courses and be mentored by a current course director in a current edition provider course.

Achieves:

  • Two-year course director status.
  • Can schedule, host, and teach provider courses.

Step 4: Become TNCC Faculty

In addition to holding provider courses, TNCC faculty can hold and teach instructor courses. Course directors can become faculty by teaching four provider courses and directing two provider courses within the past four years. In addition, they must be mentored by current faculty while helping to teach their first instructor course.

Achieves:

  • Two-year course director status.
  • Can schedule, host, and teach provider courses.
