    Celebrating Judith C. Kelleher's Birthday

Realizing there was no specialized education or training for emergency nurses, Judith C. Kelleher, MSN, RN, FAEN, (1923-2013) co-founded the Emergency Department Nurses Association nearly 44 years ago. Judith was an exceptional leader who put emergency nursing on the map and raised the standards of how emergency nurses practice today.

To honor Judy’s dedication to advance emergency nursing education and to keep her legacy alive, the ENA Foundation Management Board created the Judith C. Kelleher Memorial Endowment. As a result, starting this year, the ENA Foundation is awarding the Judith C. Kelleher educational scholarship each year in perpetuity.
