Workplace Violence in the ED is an overarching problem—not an unusual event. This course will discuss ways to recognize and mitigate all types of violence, including incidents precipitated by consumers/visitors, intruders, employees, and management.
Learner Outcome(s): Emergency nurses will be better prepared to recognize, avoid, and prevent workplace violence in their setting.
Disclosure: The planners and presenters of this course have no conflicts of interest. Learners will be awarded 1.8 CNE contact hours upon complete review of the course and submission of an evaluation. Course expires 3/18/2022.
In accordance with ANCC Criteria Revision 2.0, contact hours will be awarded to the nearest quarter hour (.25) starting January 1, 2021. ENA Workplace Violence Prevention will award 1.75 CNE contact hours effective January 1, 2021.
