Emergency Nurses Association Wins 2017 Gold Circle Award for Excellence in Membership Rebranding

DES PLAINES, Ill. (May 2, 2017) – The Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) today announced it has been recognized by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) with a 2017 Gold Circle Award in the rebranding category. The Gold Circle Awards competition is the premier association marketing, membership and communications award that recognizes excellence, innovation and achievement in association/nonprofit marketing, membership and communications programs. This year’s competition received more than 172 entries across 11 categories, including convention/meeting campaign, member retention campaign, print magazine, and video.

“Before embarking on an aggressive four-year membership recruitment campaign, we needed updated membership marketing materials reflecting what today’s modern emergency nurse is looking for in a professional association,” said ENA president Karen K. Wiley MSN, RN, CEN. “The new design and messaging convey the value ENA provides to emergency nurses: unparalleled emergency nursing education, practice resources and networking and advocacy opportunities. It is an honor to be recognized by ASAE for our rebranding efforts.”

“This award recognizes associations who are creating effective ways to communicate their messages including elements of creativity, design, technology, and metrics, which measure the success of their tactics and campaigns,” said ASAE President and CEO John H. Graham IV, FASAE, CAE. “Marketing, membership and communications are crucial functions for any association – it’s the primary means for sharing information with members and staff as well as branding the organization to the global community. Entries for the Gold Circle Awards competition are judged consistently in each category based on criteria established by the ASAE Gold Circle Award Committee for excellence in association marketing, membership and communications programs.

“Our members submitted fantastic entries this year, and we had several categories with multiple winners. The quality of work our judges see always make it a difficult decision on who receives a Gold Circle award,” said Lisa Claydon, CAE, Director, Marketing Communications at Association of Corporate Counsel and chair of the Gold Circle Awards Committee.

ENA is receiving its Gold Circle Award today at ASAE’s Marketing, Membership & Communications Conference in Washington D.C.
