Why do you seek a position on the Leadership Development and Elections Committee?

I am seeking re-election to the Leadership Development and Elections Committee (LDEC) to continue building a strong Leadership Development program within ENA. During my first term, we successfully laid the foundation for a program aimed at identifying and cultivating future leaders. I am eager to carry this work forward and see the program through to its completion, ensuring it offers meaningful opportunities for leadership growth.

My experience on LDEC has given me the chance to work closely with members, helping them discover their potential and encouraging their involvement at both the state and national levels. I am committed to strengthening the program to ensure it aligns with ENA's mission and values, providing members with the resources and mentorship they need to take the next step in their leadership journey.

I believe in fostering a culture of leadership within ENA by engaging and empowering members to actively participate and pursue leadership roles. By continuing on LDEC, I will contribute my experience and dedication to ensuring the success of this vital program for ENA’s future.

How does your academic, professional background and experience within ENA make you a qualified Leadership Development and Elections Committee Candidate?

My academic and professional background has provided me with the skills necessary to identify and engage individuals seeking greater involvement within ENA. Through my experience, including a completed term on LDEC where I had the honor of serving as chairperson for two of my three years, I have had the privilege of connecting with numerous members. These connections have allowed me to better understand their aspirations and encourage them to pursue leadership roles at both the state and national levels.

While serving on LDEC, I had the opportunity to work closely with members, guiding them through their leadership development journeys and helping them identify the paths best suited to their strengths and goals. This experience has deepened my understanding of the importance of mentoring and providing meaningful opportunities for growth within ENA.

I am passionate about fostering a culture of leadership, and my role on LDEC has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to continue helping members achieve their leadership potential. I look forward to using my experience to continue engaging and empowering ENA members to take on leadership roles in the future.

As a member of LDEC, I am dedicated to strengthening ENA’s ability to identify and develop future leaders. My goal is to inspire and empower members to take on greater roles within the organization, cultivating a culture of leadership and active engagement. I believe in creating an environment where members feel supported and encouraged to pursue leadership opportunities, helping to build a strong, dynamic future for ENA.

I bring strong interpersonal skills to the committee, allowing me to connect with individuals in a warm, approachable way. This approach helps foster meaningful relationships with members, creating trust and openness. By cultivating a welcoming environment, I encourage individuals to share their aspirations and explore new avenues for involvement within ENA.

Through my work on LDEC, I aim to ensure that all members feel empowered to contribute to the organization’s growth and success. I am passionate about fostering leadership potential and providing the necessary tools and support to help members reach their full potential. By continuing to focus on engagement and development, I am confident we can inspire more leaders to step forward and contribute to ENA’s future success.

I bring strong critical thinking skills to analyze data and align with ENA’s mission, helping LDEC identify members ready for leadership roles. My comprehensive knowledge of ENA's structure, policies, and member needs allows me to guide and mentor effectively, empowering members to pursue leadership opportunities.

As a member of LDEC, I take the responsibility of evaluating and screening candidates seriously, ensuring fairness and transparency. In my two years as chairperson, I’ve led meetings that fostered productive discussions and strategic decision-making. My experience as a Nurse Manager and State President has further honed my ability to make informed, impactful decisions.

I’ve also developed strong communication skills through my work on LDEC, facilitating clear and concise discussions and providing constructive feedback to candidates. I actively seek to identify and encourage potential leaders at the state and national levels, helping them pursue their goals.

Collaboration is key in my approach, and I have worked effectively with the LDEC team to determine the slate of candidates. I value the input of others while contributing my perspectives, ensuring a balanced and inclusive decision-making process. I’ve participated in every LDEC meeting, showing my commitment to the committee’s work.
