In alignment with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, this year’s in-person Day on the Hill event in Washington, D.C. was canceled. However, ENA’s advocacy efforts are as vital as ever to ensuring that the voices of emergency nurses are heard loud and clear during the pandemic. During these uncertain times, advocacy organizations must be flexible in how they relay their priorities to lawmakers. Although in-person meetings are unlikely this year, Members of Congress still need to hear from emergency nurses on the front lines of this pandemic. Our virtual advocacy event - Day off the Hill - will highlight effective strategies to empower ENA leaders and advocates to do just that.
