Sally K. Snow, BSN, RN, CPEN, FAEN, is Secretary/Treasurer of the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) Board of Directors. ENA is the specialty nursing association serving the emergency nursing profession through research, publications, professional development, and emphasis on quality and patient safety.
Snow has been an emergency nurse for more than 42 years. She is currently the Trauma Program Director at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX.
Snow has been active in ENA for more than 35 years. She has served on many national committees including the Pediatric Committee, Awards Committee, and ENPC/TNCC International Faculty. Snow has been the ENA liaison to the American Academy of Pediatrics; Committee on Pediatric Emergency Medicine since 2006. She has been a General Assembly delegate from 1982-1999 and 2005-2012. In 2006, Snow was a member of the TNCC Dissemination team to South Africa. At the state level she has served in many roles including two terms as President, Secretary, and Parliamentarian, and as a member of the Pediatric and Trauma Committees of the Texas ENA State Council. She was awarded the Texas ENA State Council Emergency Nurse of the Year Award in 1991.
Snow obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Texas in 1974. She has been a Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse since 2010, has taught ENPC since 1993, and TNCC since 1986. In 2007, Snow was inducted as a Fellow of the Academy of Emergency Nursing.
