While in San Diego for the 2004 ENA Annual Meeting, our attendees were able to stay connected with the rest of the world by using the Cyber Café.
What is the Cyber Café? It offers an onsite message center, e-mail access, and CECH all in one convenient location. Imagine being able to keep in touch with everyone back home while you
attend educational classes and sessions. Or, hook up with colleagues and friends also attending the ENA meeting, all with a few keystrokes. Attendees at the 2004 ENA Annual Meeting did all of this and more. Using the ENA Cyber Café, they checked and sent external e-mail messages,
using AOL®, Yahoo®, and MSN® hotlinks.
Attendees also found the CECH access to be very user friendly. They liked the idea of entering CECH hours and printing off their final certificate onsite, during which time there were helpful “cyber assistants” available all the time. Many commented how much easier it was to do this all during the meeting.
“Being able to enter my CECH now, where I can get help if I need it, really makes this great! It’s nice to know I am leaving with my certificate in hand!” commented one attendee.
Many attendees used the messaging system to make arrangements to meet up with friends and colleagues by using the iCommunicate feature. This generates a message, and the recipient’s name then appears in a scrolling list on two large monitors at the entrance of the Cyber Café. Once the attendees logged on, they were notified of any messages.
ENA and all the 2004 Annual Meeting attendees would like to extend our thanks to FreemanWhite for once again offering their generous support of the Cyber Café!
