NHTSA’S Drunk Driving—Over the Limit. Under Arrest Campaign
2008 Impaired Driving National Enforcement Crackdown August 15 to September 1, 2008
Drunk Driving—Over the Limit. Under Arrest is a highly visible nationwide campaign aimed at cracking down on impaired drivers and getting them off our nation’s highways. The crackdown is conducted annually by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in conjunction with its partners including: Governors’ Highway Safety Association (GHSA), Operation C.A.R.E. (Combined Accident Reduction Effort), International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA) and National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE). This campaign has grown tremendously, helping to save thousands of lives.
The ENA Injury Prevention Institute/ EN Care encourages you to team up with your local communities, ENA state councils and ENA Injury Prevention chairpersons and network with your local law enforcement agencies for this campaign.
