ENA Foundation State Challenge Update: Oink Oink Oink … Have You Filled Your 2008 State Challenge Piggy Banks?

Fatten those piggy banks. ENA state councils were issued a challenge in December at the State Leader’s Orientation to Fatten those Piggy Banks! State representatives in attendance were each given a piggy bank to pass at their state and local chapter meetings. How is your state doing?

Ten weeks and counting. The rules are simple; the goal is clear…to increase financial support for the foundation, enabling the foundation to establish additional research grants and educational scholarships.

The Challenge Your state council has two chances to win a free registration for a member to attend the 2008 ENA Annual conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The two challenges are: the state council with the largest total contributions and the state council with the largest per capita contribution.

In addition, states raising a total of $5,000 or more will have the opportunity to name a 2009 ENA Foundation Scholarship. Four states had the opportunity to name scholarships last year. Was your state one of them?

How Is Your State Doing? As of May 1, 2008, 12 States have participated in the State Challenge raising $7,488.00, which is 15 percent of our $45,250 goal. We have received the contributions from the following states:

Visit www.ENA.org/foundation and make a donation online. Check the box: State Challenge. Or send a donation to the ENA Foundation at 915 Lee Street, Des Plaines, IL 60016. Remember to designate your donation—a note that your donation should be applied to the 2008 State Challenge and from which state.

The ENA Foundation State Challenge runs through June 30, 2008. Proceeds from the State Challenge support the foundation’s scholarship and research program.
