CERTIFICATION (BCEN®)
Distinguished CEN®Award and BCEN®Honorary Certification Recognition Award Call for Candidates
The Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) each year recognizes one individual and one organization that has demonstrated support of emergency nursing certification. Nominations for these awards are being accepted now through June 27, 2008.Nominate that individual or organization that supports and/or promotes emergency nursing certification.
CEN Award Criteria
A certified emergency nurse who:
- Has demonstrated motivation that encourages peers to attain certification in emergency nursing.
- Is knowledgeable regarding issues related to certification.
- Demonstrated the ability to articulate professional aspects of certification in emergency nursing.
- Functions as a role model by obtaining and maintaining the CEN credentials.
BCEN Honorary Certification Recognition Award Criteria
- Reimbursement for the exam or renewal options.
- Provision of study materials and/or review materials.
- Reimbursement cost to attend a review course.
- Recognition of certifications through a departmental plaque or monetary differential.
- Recognition of certifications via news release, ad, newsletter or article.
- Provision of continuing educational opportunities.
