    Director, Institute of Quality, Safety & Injury Prevention (IQSIP)

    Responsible for the management and oversight of practice, quality and patient safety, injury prevention areas , and the Academy of Emergency Nursing. Also plays a key strategic role in the growth and development of the areas of emergency nursing and advanced nursing practice, and promotes the values of quality, safety and injury prevention as a horizontal thread throughout ENA.

    Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN License)
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing with a relevant clinical focus
  • Minimum 5-7 years of clinical nursing practice expertise
  • Minimum of 3-5 years demonstrated upper level management experience
  • Experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational, research, quality/safety and/or professional practice programs
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, writing, and administrative skills

    Nursing Education Editor

    The Nursing Education Editor is responsible for the content review of educational products to ensure clinical accuracy and consistency among ENA products.

    Requirements:

    • Reviews content of educational products for clinical accuracy and consistency among ENA products.
    • Assists with planning for Annual Conference Scientific Assembly and Leadership Conference.
    • Serves as staff liaison to committees and work groups responsible for development/revision of educational products
    • Manages customer relations with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Assists the Director, Education Course and Product Development, with identifying and developing strategic initiatives related to educational products.
    • Performs additional related duties as required or assigned.

    ENA Freelance Opportunity
    Copy Editor - Independent Contractor

    This opportunity is a 4-6 week assignment working on a revision of a major text book. This individual is expected to copy edit approximately 25 chapters, ensuring that the chapters flow consistently, that grammar and punctuation are utilized correctly and that the documents conform to ENA style.

    The anticipated start date for the project is spring 2010.
