Just as nursing is guided by evidence-based practice, so too is injury prevention. Injuries have predictable patterns, risk factors and protective factors and through an understanding of these elements prevention programs are developed. Summaries of current theories and research will guide the learner in applying state-of-the-art methods to the practice of evidence-based injury prevention.
