TNCC/ENPC Reverification Courses

Due to ANCC guidelines, ENA is not able to offer contact hours for Reverification courses after 12/31/12. The ENA Board of Directors voted in July 2012 to discontinue TNCC and ENPC Reverification courses after that date. Therefore, there is no ENPC 4th edition Reverification course being offered. There can be no 3rd edition ENPC Reverification courses, or 6th edition TNCC Reverification courses held after December 31, 2012.

ENA is exploring new ways to provide ongoing continuing education related to the courses, and has directed that no more than 4 years will lapse between each new version of the TNCC and ENPC courses. Participants will be able to continue to challenge the two day provider course, as allowed by each individual course director.

ENPC 4th EDITION

Instructions have been sent to all current 3rd edition ENPC instructors regarding how to access the Instructor Update modules and test, through ENA’s online Center for e-Learning. The letter is also posted on the ENPC page of the ENA web site. Access to the update modules and test opened on August 27th and several instructors have already passed the update test.

Upon successful completion, the instructor may print a certificate of completion and a new 4th edition ENPC provider and instructor status will be  issued within the ENA database.

Instructors can call Course Operations at 800-942-0011 to order a 4th edition ENPC Provider manual to study for the update test.

COURSE ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES UPDATED

The Course Administrative Procedures have been updated and posted on the ENPC and TNCC pages of the ENA web site. They are effective 9/1/2012, along with the new 4th edition of ENPC. Please review them as soon as possible. We will post a list of the changes and clarifications within the next week

ENPC 4th EDITION COURSE DVD

The demonstrations of the ill and injured child skill stations that are used for the Provider and Instructor courses are located in the Center for e-Learning, along with the Instructor update modules. For Course Directors who are teaching ENPC 4th edition Instructor and/or Provider courses in areas that have limited in-classroom Internet access, the Management of the Ill or Injured Pediatric Patient Skill Station Demonstration videos are available for download to your computer through the link to the ENPC 4th Edition material within the Course Directors Only section of the website.

The videos are available as MP4 files and are large so we recommend you download them from a location with high quality Internet access. Click on the link to download the files and save them to your computer.

NEW FUNCTIONALITY FOR COURSE DIRECTORS

Along with the rollout of the ENPC 4th edition course is new functionality available
   through eCourseOps:

  • Purchase downloadable ENPC 4th edition instructor supplements by clicking on the “Manage E-books” menu item on the left side of the screen
  • Assign course participants to your specific ENPC 4th edition provider course, to enable them to view the pre-course modules, by clicking on the “Pre-course” icon on the far right hand side of the related course, listed under “Upcoming Courses”

In order to assign who the downloadable books are for, or who the participants of the provider course are, an online form will be presented to the course director, in which to enter the recipient’s name and email address. Both of the above are distributed to the recipient by an email that includes a link for them to use to access either the downloadable PDF instructor supplement, or the online pre-course modules. More directions will be added to the eCourseOps landing page. These functions are separate, but work in a similar format.
