ENPC 4th EDITION  

 

A letter was sent in February to all current ENPC instructors and course directors advising them of the timing for the ENPC instructor update to the 4th edition. This letter is posted on the ENPC page of the ENA web site, http://www.ena.org/coursesandeducation/ENPC-TNCC/enpc/Pages/Default.aspx and in the Course Directors only section. A recap of the timing is: 

  • ENPC 4th edition provider manuals will be available to ship as of 8/1/2012;
  • Current ENPC instructors can access the LMS for the ENPC update materials and the test, on 8/27/2012;
  • 4th edition ENPC courses can begin to be held by updated course directors and instructors on 9/1/2012 and beyond;
  • All ENPC 3rd edition instructors must be updated to the 4th edition by 2/28/2013;
  • Only 4th edition ENPC courses can be held after 2/28/2013* 

*International and military may need some additional time to transition to the 4th edition. 

There is a new ENPC course application available on the ENPC page of the ENA web site where you are able to indicate which version your planned course will be. Please start using this application right away. All ENPC courses booked for September 1st and beyond must indicate whether they will be held as 3rd or 4th edition courses. 

The printed version of the ENPC 4th edition Instructor Supplement will be available for purchase once you have completed your instructor update. The pricing for the printed version is:

 

Members         $50.00 per manual

Nonmembers   $80.00 per manual

We are working to determine the best format for the electronic version of the Instructor Supplement. We anticipate that it may not be available for the initial rollout. We will keep you informed. 

The printed version of the ENPC provider manual will be available for shipment as of August 1st 2012. You may begin to order them, and can pay for them in advance, but they will not be available to ship until August.

HELPFUL HINTS

The new eCourseOps course management system was launched on November 27th and so far 37% of the course applications that have been processed since that date have been added by course directors through eCourseOps! If you are a course director, and have not yet had a chance to use eCourseOps, please log in to the ENA web site and choose eCourseOps from the dropdown menu under Courses & Education, or click on this link and login http://www.ena.org/coursesandeducation/eCourseOps/Pages/Default.aspx You will be able to view all your courses, invoices, and credits, as well as manage your courses, and pay those invoices. There are help documents on the eCourseOps landing page to assist you, as well as a webinar you can view.

You may not have noticed, but there is a “search by zip code” feature for the course bill to person or organization, and to indicate where you would like us to ship the course materials. We have made the “search” button more visible. When you click on it you will be able to enter the zip code and then select the person or organization of your choice. We do plan to add this capability to the purchasing of manuals in the near future.
