Advanced Practice Cadaver Lab: Advanced Emergency Procedural Skills

Performing emergency procedures on critically ill and injured patients can be stressful and frustrating. These hands-on labs are designed to improve practitioner competence in advanced and life-saving procedures in a safe, controlled and closely supervised environment using fresh, unembalmed cadavers to closely simulate the anatomy and feel of an actual patient. Also offered at 12:45 – 4:15 p.m.

Procedures Covered:

  • Intraosseous catheter placement
  • Central venous access by the internal jugular, subclavian,
  • and femoral approach with ultrasound guidance
  • Venous cutdowns
  • Tube thoractostomy
  • Lateral canthotomy – plan to use general session specimens following the general program

Those interested in attending must currently be an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. These requirements must be met at time of registration. Fees for this session are utilized to offset costs to ENA in hosting this unique opportunity.

Preregistration required, limited capacity.

Watch the San Diego Padres play the Colorado Rockies at the beautiful Petco Park. Sit with your friends and colleagues in the reserved Field Pavilion seats for this fantastic ENA Foundation fundraiser. No ballgame is complete without an all American hot dog. Tickets include a voucher for a hot dog and soda.

 

A portion of the ticket price is a donation to the ENA Foundation from the San Diego Padres organization. By attending the game, you too are supporting the ENA Foundation.
