Contact Hours and Continuing Education Recognition Points

Contact Hours

As a registered attendee you can earn up to 20.5 contact hours at the 2012 ENA Annual Conference through attendance at keynote and closing addresses, concurrent sessions, fast track sessions and poster sessions. Additional contact hours can be obtained by attending the presessions and the Anita Dorr Memorial Lecture and Luncheon. Contact hour totals are based on the 60 minute credit hour as outlined in ANCC’s 2009 Application Manual.

The Emergency Nurses Association is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Continuing Education Recognition Points

ENA is very excited to introduce CERPs at Annual Conference. Continuing Education Recognition Points (CERPs) are points designated for non-traditional education. Select offerings will be presented in the Exhibit Hall as well as the Hands-on Procedural Cadaver Lab and some Sponsored Educational Sessions will offer CERPs. How will you be able to receive CERPs credit? It’s as simple as 1, 2, and 3!

  1. Stop by the Cyber Café.
  2. Select the sessions you attended.
  3. Complete an evaluation to receive your completion record.

ENA issued CERPs are not affiliated with, or accredited by, any other nursing organization. ENA does not guarantee that other organizations, institutions, or state boards of nursing will accept CERPs. Check with your organizations, institutions, or state boards of nursing to verify acceptance of CERPs prior to submitting for credit.
