ENA Announces Call for 2007 ENA Foundation Board of Trustees Members July 1, 2006 Application Deadline
Applications are now being accepted for those interested in serving on the 2007 ENA Foundation (ENAF) Board of Trustees. The ENAF provides educational scholarships and research grants for the discipline of emergency nursing.
The ENAF Board of Trustees meets twice at year at Leadership Challenge and Annual Meeting. Trustee terms are for two years. In addition, Trustees serve on short-term ad hoc committees. Trustee applicants shall have experience or interest in fundraising. They should have a strong commitment to furthering the mission of the Foundation.
There are two open, voting Trustee-at-Large positions on the 2007 ENAF Board of Trustees, to be filled by ENA members. In addition, there are two non-voting ones for Corporate Trustees. Nominations will be selected according to knowledge and experienced needs for the 2007 Board, identified by the 2006 Board of Trustees.
These are: ENA Member Trustees-at-Large (voting)
1. National ENA leadership experience
Experience in leading multi-faceted fundraising programs
Capable of cultivating major donors for the Foundation
Skill and talent to acquire larger cash and in-kind contributions either
from within the membership or from external organizations, primarily corporate entities
2. Management and organizational fundraising experience at the ENA State Council, Local Chapter, or
comparable level
Ability to communicate the Foundation’s mission to members at the State Council and
Local Chapter level
Achievement of successful cash and in-kind fundraising results
Corporate Trustees (non-voting)
3. Illustrated support of the mission of ENA and the Foundation through previous financial and in-kind
support
Skills and talents to acquire larger cash and in-kind ENAF contributions either from within the
membership or from external organizations, primarily corporate entities
Strengths in the areas of pharmaceuticals, medical devices or equipment, technology, or publishing.

- 2007 application (PDF version and Interactive Form, allows
applicant to type within Word, and print to include in packet of other required
documents) available online at www.ena.org/committees/
- Letter indicating category of application for ENA member #1 or #2, or for corporate applicants, the industry specialty; also in the letter, evidence of support for the ENA Foundation and experience in fundraising, including aptitudes, examples of success, and how applicant envisions applying this experience to service on the Foundation Board of Trustees
- CV or resume
- A letter of recommendation supporting applicant’s aptitudes and skills for their fundraising ability; to be from an ENA State Officer, Board Member, Trustee, or the Officer of an outside organization.
