Revisions to CATN-II Course Director Requirements During the most recent meeting of ENPC/TNCC/CATN International Faculty meeting, several members raised the issue that the CATN-II Course Director requirements limited adequate dissemination of the course. Their recommended changes were submitted to the ENA Board of Directors for review and approval. In May, the Board of Directors approved revisions to the CATN-II Course Director requirements.
Effective immediately, the requirement to attend a national Course Directors course to become a CATN-II Course Director has been eliminated. In its place is the following requirement: An instructor must successfully co-direct his/her first CATN-II with an experienced CATN-II Course Director. In addition, the teaching requirement for a CATN-II Course Director candidate has been reduced from having to teach in two courses before becoming a CATN-II Course Director to having to teach in one course.
