November 2007 Twenty First Edition
NEW!
REVISED COURSE ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES EFFECTIVE 10/1/2007
The final version of the revised Administrative Procedures is now available on the TNCC and ENPC pages of the Web site. A new feature of the Procedures is that they are in an interactive format. Topics underlined in the Table of Contents are links that will take you directly to that topic in the Procedures.
Please be sure that you have familiarized yourself with the revised Procedures as they did take effect October 1, 2007. A separate Explanation of Changes and Clarifications to the Procedures is also provided on the Web site. This document can be search by key words.
The following link will take you to the Administrative Procedures and the Explanation of Changes and Clarifications: www.ena.org/catn_enpc_tncc/tncc/.
Please note that Administrative Procedures are not included in the new TNCC paperwork CD. The Procedures will always be posted on the Web page. This gives us the flexibility to make changes or corrections as needed and assures that you will always have access to the most current version.
Thank you all for forwarding all your comments and suggestions during the review period of the new Procedures. The Administrative Faculty appreciated your input and considered each suggestion before making a final determination.
ENPC REVERIFICATION COURSE
The ENPC Revision Workgroup is pleased to announce a new ENPC one-day Reverification course which we anticipate will be available by February 2008. All current ENPC Course Directors will be sent a new CD of the slides and paperwork for the ENPC Provider, Instructor, and Reverification courses prior to the launch date of the new course. Please spread the word so that those current ENPC providers that are approaching their expiration date will know about the option to attend the one-day Reverification course.
MORE ABOUT TNCC REVISION
TNCC 6thedition Update Courses
Please remember that only current TNCC instructors can attend a 6th edition update course. This does not include instructor candidates who have not yet been monitored teaching their first provider course. If you have any questions about the status of instructors/instructor candidates, please call or email Course Operations at 800-900-9659 extension 4120, or courseops@ena.org , before your update course to verify their status.
5th edition Providers Who need to Reverify their Provider Status
TNCC providers who need to reverify their provider status must attend and successfully complete the full 6th edition TNCC course. It was the decision of the TNCC Revision Workgroup that this provision was warranted given the amount of new material in the 6th edition.
Your Input is Welcome
Topic ideas for future issues and feedback are welcome at CourseBytes@ena.org. If you know of anyone who should be receiving this email but is not, please ask them to email us at CourseBytes@ena.org with their name, current home address and home and work email addresses.
