Join the Faculty for Leadership Conference 2008 |
The city of Honolulu, Hawaii will be host to Leadership Conference 2008, February 28 – March 2, 2008. The selection process is about to begin and individuals interested in joining the faculty are encouraged to submit course proposals before the deadline - Friday, March 9, 2007 Faculty chosen to present will receive conference registration, airfare, and a stipend to cover hotel and per diem expenses.
Share your knowledge and experience in the areas of management, operations, government affairs, technology, team building, research, education, advance practice, and personal and professional development. Leadership Conference attracts international attendance, including advanced practice nurses, trauma coordinators, managers, administrators, medical directors, clinical specialists, prehospital coordinators and educators. Share your creative solutions that address ENA’s three clinical priorities (ED Crowding, nursing shortage, and patient safety).
The standard concurrent course length is 75 minutes. Faculty are encouraged to present two separate topics or be prepared to repeat their lecture(s). Courses requiring multiple faculty are discouraged unless a convincing need can be demonstrated. Proposals for workshops involving interactive in-depth content presentations are also requested. These sessions should be 3-8 hours in lengthCourse content should be designated as intended for new nurse leaders and managers or for those with greater experience.
Proposals are reviewed and scored for clarity of the course description, objectives, and content outline, creativity of proposed presentation, its significance to emergency nursing, and the speaker’s presentation skills and history. Course proposals must be submitted in the format requested. Incomplete or incorrectly submitted proposals will not be reviewed.
