2008 Director Jeff Jordan

J. Jeffery Jordan, RN, MS, MBA, EMT-LP, is currently serving as a member of the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) Board of Directors, the specialty nursing association serving the emergency nursing profession through research, publications, professional development, and injury prevention. Jordan’s term ends in December 2008.

Jordan is currently a flight nurse for Air Evac Lifeteam EMS. He previously served on the ENA Board of Directors (2001-2002) most recently in the position of Secretary/Treasurer. He has also served as Secretary/Treasurer on both the ENAF and BCEN Management Boards (2004). He has also served on the EMS Committee (1998-1999) and the Diversion Resource Workgroup (1999-2000). He is a past president of the Texas Emergency Nurses Association, Inc. (TENA), and is also a past president of ENA’s Dallas County chapter. He is currently a member of the Oklahoma State Council of ENA.

Jordan has been involved in many presentations on several emergency nursing issues, including the role of paramedics in medical emergencies, and has been involved in the development of several nursing orientation manuals, including Nursing Orientation to the Emergency Department for Methodist Medical Center in Dallas.

Jordan received his associate’s degree in applied science in nursing from Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma City, in 1990, and his Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Texas Woman’s University, Dallas, in 1997. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Weatherford, Oklahoma, and completed his Master of Science in Nursing degree from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma, and his Master of Business Administration degree, from the University of Phoenix, in December 2006. He is also a provider of ENA’s Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
