Statement to the Membership I was fortunate to go to the emergency department as a new graduate seven years ago. I joined ENA shortly after completing an ED internship and my active involvement began. I have been local chapter president, state council president, a member of the national Government Affairs Committee and have been a General Assembly delegate for the past four years. As a member from Kentucky, I understand the challenges faced by small states and recognize the need for all voices to be heard.
I believe I offer a unique perspective as a member of the younger generation of emergency nurses. As ENA turns 40, it is now more important than ever that we maintain an organization with the ability to be relevant for all types of members. It is vital that we attract young, talented emergency nurses to develop future leaders for this organization. One of the talents I have to offer is the opportunity to connect with and encourage younger members to begin this process.
I am interested in the Nominations Committee as this group helps determine the qualifications and policies related to being eligble to become a future leader of our organization. The work of this committee is essential to sustain the mission, vision and values of the Emergency Nurses Association. Back to top |
Platform Statement I am interested in being a Nominations Committee member as I believe this committee directly impacts the future of the organization. I have been active at the local, state and national levels of ENA over the past five years and possess the knowledge needed to be effective on this committee. Back to top |
