Statement to the Membership I have been an emergency nurse for over 30 years and an ENA member since the 1980s. I am proud to have taken the first CEN examination in July 1980 and have maintained my certification since then. I have a passion for emergency nursing, a strong dedication to our association, and I possess a high moral and strong ethical character. The numerous leadership positions I have held at the local and state level will assist me to guide others who seek a leadership role in our association.
I have served each year as a General Assembly delegate since 1994. My experiences have given me the information necessary to understand the needs of the membership and the association. During this time I have had the opportunity to observe our association leaders and the many leadership qualities they have possessed. This familiarity has provided me with knowledge to support and guide potential candidates for national office.
The Nominations Committee should seek out those individuals who possess both leadership capabilities and emergency nursing values. Board diversity will make our organization stronger and will represent our membership.
The Nominations Committee is responsible for presenting to the membership a slate of the best possible candidates, to ensure an impartial election of officers and to present to the membership new or revised election policies. As a member of the Nominations Committee I will be dedicated to this process. I would be proud to represent our membership on our national Nominations Committee and look forward to serving our organization, the membership and future candidates, if elected. Back to top
