Position Statement
What attribute is essential to enhance ENA’s mission of Safe Practice and Safe Care?

I believe the most important and essential attribute to enhance ENA’s mission of Safe Practice and Safe Care is a commitment to emergency nursing and the patients we serve, above the needs of us as individuals. In order to be an effective leader, we need to put our personal needs and goals secondary to the needs and goals of the organization.

Statement To The Membership
Running for the position of Director on the ENA Board of Directors is an important decision for any member to make. My decision to run is driven by my personal and professional commitment to the Emergency Nurses Association, to the emergency nursing profession and to the patients we all serve. ENA has a long history of being a brilliant beacon of innovation and leadership in both emergency care and the nursing profession. ENA has relied on its leaders to have the vision, tenacity and strength to make strategic and well thought out decisions for the organization. I believe the role of ENA’s Board of Directors is to be good stewards of the organization and its resources, to provide strong leadership for ENA, to assure the opportunity for the engagement of our members, and to listen and act upon the needs of our members. If elected to the position of Director, I will bring to the role over 20 years of ENA leadership experience, including national board and officer experience during one of the most challenging times the organization has experienced, resulting in a successful outcome. I will be faithful to the vision of our founders and I will engage with you, our members, to build a successful and strong future.
