The Institute for Quality, Safety and Injury Prevention (IQSIP) is a functional area within ENA that provides subject matter expertise and a concentrated focus on issues related to practice, quality, safety, injury prevention and wellness. The Institute may provide resources, develop programs, and lead projects that empower emergency nurses to integrate quality, safety, injury prevention, and wellness into their everyday practice and become leaders within their institutions and communities. Institute staff collaborate with local, regional and national organizations on topics and projects relevant to the specialty of emergency nursing. The Institute also provides oversight for the various awards that exemplify exceptional performance and innovative practices.
The IQSIP has an Advisory Council which consists of experts with multidisciplinary experiences and expertise to discuss the strategies and initiatives that advance the continuing work of the Institute. Council members are recommended by the Institute’s Director, ratified by the ENA Board of Directors, and serve two-year rotating terms. Although the work of the Institute is highly integrated, the following content areas will help guide a search for the various program, resources, and projects within the Institute.
